Traceroute

See the path packets take to a host: every router on the way, the networks they belong to, and the delay and loss at each hop. Traces run from real probes on the Globalping network, so you can see the route from another country as well as your own.

Each hop is probed three times (mtr), which takes about 10 to 30 seconds. If a firewall drops ICMP, try TCP on port 443 for a website.

What this shows

A trace shows the path out, not the path back, and routers often answer probes slowly even when they forward traffic quickly. Read How to Read a Traceroute for the patterns that matter, and the technical details for how traces run and their limits.
